The Nippon Club Major Terence Molloy will talk about the challenges of commanding a British unit in Burma and the experiences of the 48th, the Ist Battalion, the Northamptonshire Regiment particularly leading up to the vital defence of Imphal, which proved the turning point of the Burma Campaign. He will draw on his recently published book, The Silchar Track, (one of the few routes leading into India) which brings together accounts of the men who were with him at Imphal, and lists all those who are buried there.
